LUDHIANA: As terror attacks rip apart the peaceful atmosphere in Paris on late Friday night leaving more than 100 dead, its horror found an echo in Ludhiana with residents calling up relatives and friends staying in the French capital to know about their safety. Many families staying near Paris who had their roots in Ludhiana were fortunate enough to escape the attack as they stayed few kilometres away from Paris city. This was the case with a city-based family residing at Drancy, which was just 5 kms away from Stade De France stadium where two explosions took place.
